Black cockatoo tail feathers (kenetic)

This piece was designed and built for the McCloy Group in Edgeworth, Newcastle.

It is made from Corten steel and modelled on real black cockatoo feathers.

The feathers are mounted in form work which allows them to spin when the wind blows.

Black cockatoos are often seen in this area, especially ahead of rain.
