Great Northern marlins

These marlin sculptures were made for Great Northern’s ‘Great Escape’ competition.

The 10 sculptures were hidden in campgrounds around Australia, and competitors who found them had the opportunity to win a boat, courtesy of Boating Camping and Fishing (BCF).

Each marlin was handmade using Corten steel and recycled Australian hardwood.

Hydrochloric acid and hydrogen peroxide were used to give the sculptures their unique colouring.
